The game was fixed from the start
There’s no way to defeat a ghost
While he was playing his part
I already knew we all were lost

It’s quite hard to go down without a fight
When you’re used to go on without respite
But as you fled I just stood still
“He hasn’ t won, none of us will”

You said that I am strong
And I would be alright…
In a way you were right

Within You

I am in the rain that flickers and dances away
On all our paths, on the roofs in the alleyway

I am in the soft breeze and on the high wind’s Wing
To comfort you while you remember our only Spring
Or soothe you when you feel the storm is brooding

I am in this ray of Sun streaming through the fog
Warming up our lands and hazing over the bog
Slipping into the tight foliage of the beech tree
Atop the hillock where we so much liked to be

On the crest of the highest waves of the Ocean
And on your hair while on the dune you shiver

Her love grew so strong, it scared me to hold
I did not deserve Her, I wanted to fold
I once told myself, my love is untrue
And that is when my head went askew

Black and silent as the moonless night,
given away only by the hazy twilight
that haloes his dark and slender figure,
he slides through the battlefield searching
with his soul what his eyes can’t discern.

The groans of the dyings have long faded,
still he senses within the soundless moan
that drowns out his own deafening pain.

At last he finds him and his body is still

Yet the Sun

Those fangs of anger, so eager to embrace
Skin cold, dark words flourish in our crying veins
Bitterness and banishment is all what we taste
Sympathy of destruction was all that remains

Cold is my soul, torn by those scars
Resentment and fear, an end that is pain
Yet the sun does still shine, the night still has stars
